That’s I think number five up there. Meaning that once the replacement comes, I will be on my sixth in just over 3 years. Not that there is ever a good time for this to happen, but this is a terrible time. Dave’s girl went to her parents’ place for a few days, so we had nothing but games planned for the holidays. My brother even just bought COD5 so we could play together. On top of that, I’m heading back to Ontario on the 29th, and have no idea where I should get the new one shipped to. Dave has fallen in love with games, and is considering buying a 360. I’m not sure if I’ll come back here, so it doesn’t make sense to ship it here, then back to Ontario if that’s where I end up. At the same time, I’d like to let Dave play it while I’m gone even if I don’t come back. Oh well. In the meantime, we went out tonight and bought a couple ps3 controllers and rented Saints Row 2. So far Dave is loving blowing shit up, but says Every Day Shooter is no replacement for Geometry Wars. Clearly we are related.
So, the way things are going, I fully expect my plane to crash, and I think I’m fine with that.
-there are people way worse off than I am
-happiness never lasts, but that doesn’t mean it’s pointless to try to be happy
-things that once made me happy will one day make me sad if I let them
-if I want something/someone bad enough I should pursue it/them no matter what
-rejection is stupid to fear
-pot is not a vitamin my body needs
-sex is not a vitamin my body needs
-make sure people I love know how much I love them
-everything/anything can be gone in an instant
I was incredibly bummed today. I went on a 4 hour walk around Victoria and somehow ended up in front of the BC SPCA. I miss my kitties so much. I spent an hour looking at photos of them last night. I want to hold them so bad. So I went in to see some of the cats that were there. I could only stay for a short time because I’m an emo douche right now, and I was fighting back tears. I took a few pictures with the phone Jon lent me. I fell in love with a lady who had a buggered up ear on her right side. Her name was Angie. When I got home I taught Dave’s dog how to howl, and then we howled.
I hooked up my games here at Dave’s the other night. I picked up COD5 to play with my brother and Jon, and was looking forward to wading in kraut blood all weekend. Then I made the mistake of introducing Dave’s girl to Bomberman. We have been playing Bomberman since then. I swear I have never met a female who didn’t instantly get hooked on this game. It’s a fun game, but fuck, I need to pop the heads off some huns, and let some of this violence out.
I arrived in Victoria shortly after 11 last night. The flight was a little late leaving and was super rocky the whole way. Before I left Toronto I visited a friend I hadn’t seen in a long time and she gave me a pot brownie for the plane. It made the first hour or two more enjoyable than it would have been, but I should have gotten a second one to eat at the half way point. I spent most of the flight playing Everyday Shooter and Super Stardust on my psp, then I watched some movie with Ricky Gervais where he sees ghosts. It was absolute shit. Dave was waiting for me at the airport, and then took me back to his place where we watched some other movie called Pan’s Labrynth. Was yesterday international shit movie day or something?
This morning I got my phone sorted out (I say morning, but it started in the morning and didn’t actually get sorted until the middle of the afternoon). I can now place and receive calls using my old home number on my notebook. And, apparently telling Vonage how much you hate them will get your monthly charges lowered by $15! and you can keep on hating them! This afternoon I went to get a headset so people can actually hear me when I talk. I bought one I thought would be perfect, and it’s crap. I have to take it back tomorrow and see about getting a good one.
My mum and my brother put together a bunch of my game stuff today, and shipped it out to me. I should have it tomorrow, and then I plan to get Dave’s network set up, and jump on live to play some games with my brother since we haven’t in months. I think I’ll probably spend the entire weekend gaming, since I’ll be here watching Dave’s dog Honey while he goes to meet his girl’s parents for the first time back on the mainland.
I also think I will try an organic pizza from the organic bakery and pizzeria near Dave’s house. I walked past it yesterday and stopped in to see what they had. The coolest part was the murals on the building. (below)
A place like that has got to have great pizza!
