I got more great news today! I called to confirm that I was going to be able to get into the log building course I want to take next month at the ISBA. I got a chance to speak with the owner of the school about some drawings I did. His reaction was very positive and made me feel pretty good. Then he confirmed that I was going to be able to get into the log course no problem. I called the guy I stayed with last year to see if he could accommodate me staying again, and he said it was no problem. I just have to email him the dates once I decide when I’m going. I’m looking forward to riding my bike around the island in the nice weather, and learning the log stuff is going to be unreal.
I so far have about a third of the drawings done for the first section of the book. I hope to have the drawings for that section all done in the next two weeks. Then I have a second section to complete and possibly a third depending on how those first two go. I’m waiting on two more packages from them now, hopefully they don’t take as long as the last one. I also recieved a copy of the manuscript today in an email, which is going to hopefully make it easier on me at some times. There are small questions I need to ask at times, and if I had the text, I’d probably be able to figure it out on my own. I also now get the first actual copy of the book… for free!
Below is some more drawings I made. They have a couple models, including a tape measure, a pencil, some levels, and a power plane!
