Back in February, Holly and I were out at a pet store, getting food for her kitties, and we met this little calico that was there hoping to be adopted. Her name was Shirley, and she was beautiful. We went back to see her again a few weeks later, and she was gone. Holly and I went to the Humane Society the other day, and she was there. Apparently the people who adopted her, couldn’t get their old cats to adjust to her, so they brought her back. The minute I saw her I knew I wanted her to be my best friend.
She managed to find the only mousetrap left in the house, about 30 seconds after we let her out of her box. Holly had a glue trap behind her dresser, and of course that was the first place she went to hide. I had to chase her down and remove the trap from her paw, then she bolted under the bed and has pretty much stayed there since. She comes out and gets snacks and lets me pet her, but she’s still pretty shy. Oliver and Nika are growling at her lots, but she seems to really want to be their friends. Hopefully soon we will all be one big happy family.
I love her face. So cute.

May not February.
And they’ll adjust to her, they just need time.
