The other day I had to punish Roan for not following the rules of the xbox, and take away his game playing privileges first thing in the morning. He only had a half day at school because it was activity day, and he didn’t bring home his consent form (it didn’t matter though, because he had a doctors appointment and wouldn’t have been going anyway).
When he got home from his appointment (his step-mother dropped him off) he had a fresh pack of plasticine to help keep him busy during his time away from pwn’n zombags. He made a ton of stuff for Holly and I, and modified his cap-gun to resemble a Spiker from Halo.
After he finished modeling all his goodies, he asked me to bust out my camera and take some photos of his stuff, and him posing with it. These are the pictures he asked me to take because they would look cool.
The first one he’s posing with a toy his gradpa made him. I think it’s from Ratchet and Clank.
Here he is with his modified cap-gun, striking a very intimmidating pose.
And here he is aiming that powerful pistol directly at your face. You’re so scared for your life you don’t even notice his fly is down. That’s scared…
This is his “running” pose. Although, to me it looks more like a “I’m getting ready to hit you with my plasticine gun” pose.
When he was done posing I asked him to hold up the gun so we could show off how talented he is, then I got him to get behind the plasticine Browning for a couple shots.
The Browning he made for Holly. I got an MG 42, but I forgot to take a picture of it.
Do you think the kid is developing an obsession with video games? We take them away for a day, and he makes game related art. Sounds exactly like me.
He also made us each a nameplate for our bedside tables.
Mine is pretty sweet. It seems like he has a harder time making ‘M’s than he does ‘E’s.
The other night we all went for dinner at the Falls Manor. On the way into the restaurant, there is a cork board for business cards, and a payphone. When we walked in I saw the cover of a tiny pamphlet sitting on the payphone, and immediately knew it was going to be something religious and insane. I grabbed it right away, and brought it home to take some photos of it.
The images are great. I’d love to meet the guy who drew these things, and find out how he got that job. I took photos of the whole book (it’s short), so if you’re interested hit <more> and be saved.
